Facilities

All the residents are provided with a safe secure homely environment in which they are encouraged and assisted to chose both the décor and furnishing for the home and their rooms. Within Ellens Court we provide on site activities.  We have a kitchen for Residents use.  There is a games room for pool, table tennis, computer work, play stations and other table top activities.  We hold discos and parties, Music and Movement, Music Therapy Art and Craft and Sensory.  There are extensive grounds for games or relaxation.

The homes 2 vehicles are used for all community based activities and leisure trips. The games room provides space for pool, table tennis, darts, computer work, play station games and tabletop games. Any discos or parties are held in here along with music therapy provided by Musik Matters.

The Kitchen provides plenty of equipment and space for personal cooking, making drinks and entertaining guests in private.

The woodwork room speaks for itself.

There is ample space in the grounds for the residents to wander and enjoy the open space of the countryside. We have an allotment area for gardeners to plant flowers or vegetables and a green house to start seeds off. One of the lawns is kept just for ball games while the upper lawn has a pitch and putt circuit and is used for crocket or just sitting and enjoying the view.

We use all local facilities available e.g. the local Adult Education Centre, Swimming Pool, Golf Club, Bowling, Library Skilnet, a Farm and of course places for shopping.

The Home provides a designated area for smoking within the grounds.
