 Competence:-  The staff employed at the home should enhance the residents lifestyle in every way.

 Participation :-  Residents should be helped in the development of social skills including relationships and friendships.

 Respect:-  Residents should always be respected and accepted as valued members of society.

 Individuality :-  All individuals needs should be met appropriately to suit the individual.

 Racial, Cultural and Religious Sensitivity :-  The home will be sensitive and provide any needs with respect, understanding and support.

 Rights and Risks :-  Security and supervision will be offered without denying opportunities while protecting the individual and others.
