Information
All Residents have the right to see their personal records on request. The
request should be made by the Resident to their Keyworker who will make a
formal request to the Manager. Residents have access and are involved
in the formulation of their Individual Programme Package which incorporates
the Individual Service Plan.
All requests for Residents to see their Medical Records must be made
through their General Practitioner.
Confidentiality
Our home has a policy of confidentiality which recognises the rights of the
individual resident to have their personal privacy respected and maintained.
This means that employees are not to discuss matters relating to our
residents with anyone outside of the confines of the home.
If any such complaint were to arise this would be dealt with as a
disciplinary matter.
If any information needs to be shared, for example, on medical grounds with
the provision of a medical history, then permission must be sort from the
resident, or if they are unable to act for themselves, then the residents
representative must be consulted. |
